About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Bought a one-way ticket to Europe in June, tallyho!
ABOUT ME
I'm the kind of guy that can see through people's bullshit, call them out on it, and still manage to become their best friend by the end of the night. With that said, sarcasm is flowing out of me, sober or not. I enjoy simple things, but not simple people. I joined CS to try to avoid them through my travels, hoping to become part of this community of free thinkers from all different walks of life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm back! And better than ever in the ever-beautiful Austin, TX. The possibility of hosting is always open, but my work schedule might say otherwise. I'll try to accommodate, as long as you present yourself as one cool cat.
Ah we'll figure it out. Happy travels!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I hitchhiked my way around Europe for the 2.5 months in the summer of 2013, meeting great hosts along the way and avoiding hostel life as much as possible. As long as I am as good a host as my predecessors, you'll have an incredible time enjoying the sights and sounds of this great town.

Music, Movies, and Books
Tunes:
Anything by John McCauley (you won't be disappointed), Dawes, Avett Brothers, Wheeler Brothers, John Prine, all sorts of different bluegrass sub-genres, Two Gallants, Gin Wigmore, Ryan Bingham, Sons of Fathers.... etc...
Movies: Pretty much anything geared toward people with taste, my list is far, far too long.
I read articles, and The Bearstein Bears, duh.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Saved a life on two different occasions, beat a death defying illness (learned to walk, talk, etc. all over again), never fell for the conformity of my immediate local persona. I also ate three Jimmy John's sandwiches in one sitting, they weren't even very good.
Canoed and portaged through 100 miles of lakes/heavy terrain in Minnesota, shot a number of different guns. I feel as blessed as Texas, honestly.
Teach, Learn, Share
Having constructive fun with a foreigner could always be viewed as a learning experience too.
Countries I’ve Visited
Belgium, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Mexico, Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, United States
Countries I’ve Lived In
