About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My mission is to pull down the worlds underpants.

ABOUT ME

Just your average joe here....

PHILOSOPHY

I am a Ghoudist, which is similar to Buddhist - only tastier. I believe it to be the path to spiritual delightment. Through the acceptance of Cheezus Christ into one's stomach salivation is possible. I am a man of the cheese cloth. Oh yes, I could go on and on...and my cheesy spriitual views are backed by solid scientific evidence as is apparent in the String Cheese Theory.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Not enough! I'm working on it though...I just have trouble with computers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have so far only had 1 couchsurfing experience. I was picked up hitchhiking by a couple travellers who were going to meet their hosts in Santa Clara. They vouched for my good intentions, and the hosts invited me to come along and stay the night. Great people! Conversation, food, good company, beautiful house surrounded by organic gardens....loved it!

Interests

Dirt, water, air, fire, food, other organisms, sunshine, rain, snow, the ocean, mountains, etc. Snowboarding, hiking, surfing, sailing, music, gardening, mushroom picking, plant foraging, hoboing, dumpster diving, biking....

Music, Movies, and Books

Books/ authors: "How To" and nonfiction, The Dao of Pooh, Paul Stamets, Tom Robbins, Herman Hesse, Castanada, Keroak, Steven King, The Dune trilogy and other sci-fi, Fantasy, etc. Movies: Avatar, the Fisher King, Into the Wild, Caddyshack, Fear and Loathing, Willow, Pay it Forward....these just happen to come to mind right now. Really, anything with either comedic value or a little depth. Cheesy action flicks can be fun too. Music: Folk, rock, reggae, hip-hop, classical, bluegrassical, blues...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I witnessed several thousand people holding hands and omming after a morning of silence; and at the height of the breaking of silence a rainbow appeard around the sun (at a rainbow gathering). It seemed suspiciously well timed....and brought me to tears.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share knowlege in sailing, snowboarding, surfing, backpacking, carpentry, and probably a good bit more. I am interested in learning (and know a little about) mycology, gardening, foraging, and just your generally interesting tidbits of biological knowlege. It's always fun to get going on a philosophical tangent as well! People interest me too....individually or as groups.
