About Me
Hey! Hope you're having a great day.
My name's Landon, and I'm originally from Washington State. I currently am a student at the University of San Diego studying analytics with an interest in computer science. I enjoy any and all activities, especially learning about new ones, and would love to hear about your favorite pastimes. My favorite hobbies are photography/videography, tennis, cycling, skiing, and backpacking. I enjoy pretty much anything outdoors-related and love exploring nature. Besides that, I am also a huge sports fan! I follow most major sports leagues and am a diehard Seattle sports guy.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I absolutely love connecting with people from new places to get a perspective alternate from the usual tourist opinion. Hearing about the different passions and interests of people from all around the world is awesome and I'm so excited to learn more as I continue to meet people from the CS community!

Music, Movies, and Books
I love music, listen to it almost all the time, and love discussing it! I would love to talk about music with you but in the meantime here are some of my favorite genres and artists right now: I love indie and indie rock, especially The Strokes, MGMT, and Vampire Weekend. I also am a huge fan of hip-hop, including Saba, Earl Sweatshirt, and ASAP Rocky. There's so much else I could write pages about, but instead, I'll save it and you'll just have to hear about it in person.
I don't watch that many movies, but I am a huge fan of all of Christopher Nolan's work and my favorite movie is The Dark Knight. Would love to watch more movies though and am open to all recommendations!
Reading has not been my strong suit since grade school, but it is something I definitely want to start doing more. I enjoy a good fiction novel but I also love books that teach me things, whether it be sports, psychology, history, or really anything.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I recently completed the Pacific Coast Bike Route, cycling from Canada to Mexico in 31 days!
Teach, Learn, Share
While I am still an amateur, I love teaching people about photography! Seeing other people get excited about a passion of mine is the coolest feeling. I can also share my experiences from traveling and would love to hear about yours: I recently spent 4 months at sea exploring 13 different countries, and have so many stories to share from that trip!
I love learning and find it so interesting to hear people ramble about their favorite things, no matter what it is. Whether you are deeply passionate about thermodynamics, 13th-century politics, or space exploration, I'd love to hear all about it!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Friendship! Let's share stories and experiences and become friends.
As a guest, I would say I'm pretty low maintenance. I can sleep pretty much anywhere; if all the space you have is a bathtub, that would work just fine for me. Speaking from experience. I'm also super flexible (although not physically, unfortunately) so a change of plans is no big deal and I can work around most things.
