ABOUT ME

Hi all, people. My name is Fernando or Fer, as you prefer, and i am a 40 years old spanish guy living in Madrid, Spain since 1989. I have lived in a lot of places of Spain before. I am networking engineer. I live in a new 76 square meters flat in the north area of Madrid city.

About me, i don't know what to say... i prefer you meet me and then you judge yourself... although if I had to say something about me maybe I consider myself as a good and honest person who tries to give the best humor sense to life... (hey! Fer, you can't say that about you... :-D).

Well, i've to say that i was born in a small village at the west, a little southwest of Spain and i've been living in a lot of places in Spain as i said before. Now, I've been living in Madrid from 1989 and my future will be, if everything is ok, to come back to the village i were born.

I should say, so I say it, that my english level is poor and limited but i can defend myself as I can write and talk, but sometimes i can't understand all spoken, specially if you go very fast, so be patient with me. :) but i am not a beginner! B-)

Well, i don't know what can i tell you about me... i think i'm a typical simple and natural guy, open-minded and unbiased. I consider that each person is a world, so every people has always something new to show, something that i can learn and the pretty and cool thing is to discover the new world that resides in each one.

I really like small moments of the life and doing crazy things, i have no criteria. :-D. I think i am a sensitive person and likes those small moments like when you see to the eyes of a person and you remark that exists a mental connection, or maybe when you share a special moment, for example, listening a really good music sharing with you..., but always enjoying the moment like the old and ancient latin idea (Carpe Diem). I like the night, sometimes the calm and other times, the adventure but always sharing those moments with others minds. I like to admire a look, a smell, a site, try not to do what everyone not to get carried away by other people, I am myself and what my personal Minerva taught me or suggests me. So I enjoy the small moments, because life is the present and you can't hang to the future like many people does. Has no sense for me.

On the other hand, talking about people, I like the complicity and the inside part of each person. (Is this last one phrase well said? - ayyyyy, my englishhhhh). Well, I like when you connect with someone and you feel that you are not alone in the world. There's life out there...! Sharing is the best things I can do because we are made to avoid being alone, not to live in solitude, at least imposed. I like being optimistic and I try to do it by this way every days of my life because since I act by this way, everything is going much better. I think I've learned all this along my life.

MY PERSONAL PHILOSOPHY

Opened mind... live and let live. More far away than anything, it doesn't mind if you are from Japan, US, Europe, Asia... because you and me we are the same thing, we think by the same way... we are person and your mind and mine only speak one common language. I don't mind if you can't speak my fluently spanish because more far away than the language, the actitude goes beyond language.

I'd like to give you, all of yours, my best helping hand by the best way I can do it so I will be glad to do it. I still believe in goodness of the people and the real & authentic friendship. I like to meet many people around the world and make friends, by the same way. I feel that I like to help by this way, because i really like the cultures exchange and i like to contribute to make a better world from here for all. I love friendship.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well, I was in Poland. It was a nice experience ... we have a so really good good people there (Thanks always, Carina, i never won't forget it). I had a lot of so good feelings, the hospitality of them was amazing and real, and now, in the present a country that I didn't know so much has become in a special place for me... I love Poland and I'd like to return there to continue the road. When I was there, I traveled to Krakow (Poland) and I met to Pawel, a polish boy living there and who likes spanish and latin culture. It was a cool sensation and all made by good people. I really love Poland and polish people.

Interesses

I love photography and I am amateur from 24 years ago. I love taking pictures about a person and landscapes too. I worked in a photography group where a friend of mine and I we were the photographers. My last camera I bought is my lovely Canon EOS 10D Mark III, i love it. So, if you wanna see my job you can see my pictures at (www.flickr.com/photos/atrapaluz_foto). i really love to capture the light... But also I like other things like cooking (i am the best cooking paella jejejeje You want a bet?!), i like cars and I like driving. It relax me sometimes to driving by Madrid on the night ( some people don't understand me... but I don't mind... :-D ), i like going to live music concerts (i love Blues; i used to go to a place in Madrid called La Coquette, to listen good blues music, so I might take you there. i like going out and hang out with my friends, making parties at home, drinking rum Legendario from Cuba, travelling and lose me, theater, cinema... and learn about other cultures. I think or I consider myself like an open-minded & spiritual person although i don't believe in the soul like something magic; for me, soul is only a product of my brain... i like the science and physic so i suppose that's the reason for what I don't like fiction books like novels, etc... i only like the stories that tell you or teach you something... for example, as my last book I've been reading: La Ley del Espejo by Yoshinori Noguchi. That book has gone to the 2nd place of my personal ranking of main books for me in my life. I like fitness so I usually go down to my gym at ground floor.

Músicas, Filmes e Livros

A book: Juan Salvador Gaviota by Richard Bachs / La Ley del Espejo by Yoshinori Noguchi / El Principito - Antoine Saint Exupery. / A film: El Pianista (Tha Pianist) and the Schindler's List. I like Thelma & Louise, the last sense of the film... i realy loved it... I like rockabilly, blues, rock & roll, folk music, dance, chillout, New Age, celtic music... so i suppose i like everything, all kinds of music but hip-hop. :D I can't stand it.

I can teach you to cook spanish recipes... :) I like cooking. Well, I have to tell you that my brother is a chef... not a famous chef like Ferrán Adriá (if you don't know him, try it in Google) he's living and working in Madrid. He has a fusion restaurant in Madrid. (take a look if you wish... www.bacira.es) About me, I've been inside the kitchen from i was born so i think i cook not so bad. I remember my father liked to cook and i always liked me... i remember that only was focusing on the recipes and the cooking way of my father and my mother. Well, another thing I might teach you is about computers. I have a lot of experience as I've passed a lot of hours with them or in front of them from I was 11 years old... then I studied computering and now it's my job... i am networking engineer.
