About Me
ABOUT ME
Quite inquisitive and adventurous, call me your humble (and pretty nerdy) international nomad who embraces cross-cultural views and diverse experiences that are necessary in this ever-shrinking world.
PHILOSOPHY
"To laugh often and much, to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children, to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends, to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others, to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded." - Ralph Waldo Emerson.
"The earth is one country, and mankind its citizens."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My mom and I host travelers in our flat in Hanoi. Other than that, these recent years I'm still a wanderer spending much of my time elsewhere.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I join this collective yet unique traveling "CS movement", hoping to learn from/with people from all walks of life while contribute positive experiences for those who I have the chance to encounter.
It's been all very interesting and eye-opening. As cliche as it might get, CS is like the University of Life with crash courses on its diverse people (for better and worse).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Spending a good hour tomato-fighting in La Tomatina Festival, Bunol, Spain. It felt like I I got to witness the whole humanity like I had never witnessed them before. [August 2014]
Fighting with a wild baboon who was trying to snatch my camera in a plastic bag, thinking it was bananas - in Mole national park in Ghana, West Africa! - [July 2012]
Teach, Learn, Share
“You will never be completely at home again, because part of your heart will always be elsewhere. That is the price you pay for the richness of loving and knowing people in more than one place.”
— Miriam Adeney
"I smile when I'm nervous and I laugh when I'm scared, because it sure beats screaming and crying." -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S0TemlxiMdw
"I have always felt that the beauty of being surrounded by the foreign is that it slaps you awake. You cannot take anything for granted. Travel to me is a little bit like being in love, because suddenly all your senses are at the setting marked "on". And suddenly you are alert to the secret patterns of the world" -- Pico Iyer
What I Can Share with Hosts
