About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel! Backpacking for a year west to east from Portugal to Japan.

ABOUT ME

I lived in Japan for 6 years from 2003-2009, teaching English and learning Japanese. I saved money and am now backpacking for a year, starting in Portugal and Morocco and working my way across to Japan. 5 years of planning (if you could call it that) and saving leading up to this trip so I'm really excited to be off!

I'm now on week 6 of my trip and it's going great! All my exciting pictures of doors, buildings, and cute animals can be found on my facebook page. Too lazy to upload them here :P

PHILOSOPHY

Take things as they come. Laid back and easygoing is the way to be. I'm very liberal and wish more people had the traits of tolerance, understanding, and "being chill."

One Piece comics!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hitching rides on giant tuna transport carts at 5am at Tsukiji fish market in Tokyo on no sleep after a night of hitting the clubs. And the subsequent escape from angry fishermen after my friend "liberated" an eel back into the bay. After barely escaping we bought beer and sandwiches as penance, brought it back to the fishermen, and spent the afternoon drinking on their boat. Good times.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm fluent in Japanese so if you'd like to learn, let me know! Kickboxing too for 5 years till I got injured. Not so good though so only if you need a sparring partner to beat up on.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Jamaica, Mexico, Morocco, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Russian Federation, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey

Countries I’ve Lived In
