Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As a host:
In Miami, my surfers and I were definitely in simpatico. We formed bonds and relationships that grew to friendships and I was so happy to have visited some of them again.

As a guest:
I surfed with about a half dozen new hosts. I learned so much about different cultures, customs, and expectations.

Meet-Ups:
Another way to stay social and find that next day-trip, hiking, or museum buddy. What a wonderful way to make the world feel smaller, safer, and friendlier.

Currently looking for people in the Boom / Antwerp area :) I don’t know many people yet.

Interests

I am new here, so lots of discovering, museums, and free events....
I go on walks, runs, bike rides... and would love to find a place to dance merengue and salsa.

Music:
Depends on the day... I listen to almost everything.

Movies:
I prefer indi/ art house films. I also like documentaries, and anything with strong, empathetic characters and good storytelling.

Point of view and perspective is so important - in addition to compassion - in conversation /discussion/debate. Intention is everything...or as I like to say ‘Le pourquoi de tout.’

We don't always have to agree, but it is important to understand and acknowledge one another's thoughts, beliefs, and opinions rather than just shutting down or turning a deaf ear.

What I Can Share with Hosts

As a traveler/guest: Conversation and language exchange. I will most likely bring you wine, cook for you, clean for you... and hopefully we'll be able to explore your city and discover some new things together!

As a host: Again, conversation and language exchange! Again, wine and cooking... after that, fais comme chez toi et profite-bien de la vie!
