ABOUT ME

My Name is Kevin Murphy, I`m 35 years old and was born in Switzerland where I continouasly failed to grow up. I learned to be a technical draftsman (3d engendering) but found out that being a street musician, snowboard teacher, or deck hand on a sailing boat is a much more fun way to go...well and my goal is not to get a Ferrari but just to take the easy road on a horseback..I am not in a rush, but on the way.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well after some years of traveling and ending up getting arrested in Brazil, was denied to leave the country for almost 3 years and there I met a woman and became a father. Then Brazil let me go and we moved to Switzerland where we got separated again. But not too far (same neighborhood) So I am a part time dad of two wonderful daughters who stay with me half of the week and weekends. I also have some different jobs (solarpaneling and guitar teaching and other projects)

I am happy to host you if you need a bed to crash. I can also host two people or three...depending how long and what you want to put up with. Just let me know what your intentions are and what kind of lifestyle you lead and we`ll see if that is compatible. (I don`t stay up all night doing cocaine and drinking) BUT I love to jam and play music....sometimes all night. Also travelers with kids are welcome.

There is a mattress in the living room and I have got another thin one and a camping mat for more travelers.
there are also towels and a shower. There is even a toilet in this apartment.

Ah, I like cooking and healthy food. I appreciate if you like cooking too. But i also like to invite if i have got the time. I don`t eat meat though and very moderate on animal products. There is a Organic Farm close by.

Zug is a pretty rich snobby city but there are exceptions and nature is really nice around here. It is also very clean. Zurich is 30 min by train and so is Lucerne.

Interests

I like feeling the magic of the moment. I like working hard and falling asleep. I like being out in the elements, water, snow, mountains or climbing trees in a citypark.
A rainy day, sitting by the fire playing chess. I like making fire, cooking, dancing, jamming, music generally, sailing, climbing,skiing, getting lost...

I like reggea, rocksteady, hip-hop, rock, world-music, blues, bob dylan, jhonny cash, bb king, gypsy kings, rodrigo y gabriela all kind of latin, cuban music...los fabulosos cadillacs, calle 13, marcelo d2 .. i don^t feel like writing it all down.. I`m not into electro and house music too much but It`ll go for a party or two... if there is a bar that serves.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well...Last day in Switzerland after I just finished my apprenticeship, i got arrested from the police in the middle of the night for doing graffiti. After a day at the station i just made it on to the plane off to southamerika for 4 months. In America they busted me for underaged drinking and here in the middle of the jungle in peru i got drunk with the whole police crew and they told me to do a graffiti on their wall...
Then I crossed the Atlantic with together with a friend and a dog...that was amazing

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to light matches with one hand.. How to open a bottle of wine with a shoe..
A song that makes people take off their clothes.. I know some riddles to kill the time...
I can teach you languages: English, Swiss-, German, poco español.. I can speak basic spanish but i want to learn more.
I can teach you how to Ski or Snowboard play the guitar, chess, swiss card & drinking games or some cooking... but you probally know more about that.
I like to learn more music skills, spanish or other languages, cooking, games, jokes, everithing about your lifestyle.
