My name is Lára and I'm from Iceland, I lived there until late summer 2015 when I moved to New Jersey to attend design school in NYC.
I work as a stewardess in the summers and I love that, I meet people from all over and get to travel a little bit.
I've always taken every chance I could get to travel and I've made some very precious friendships along the way. So why not try Couch Surfing!

My boyfriend is from Ghana/Minnesota, he is doing his masters in NYC translation (french). He lived in Ghana til he was 13 when he moved to Minnesota. We met when we were both studying french in Cannes almost 4 years ago.
He loves soccer, long bike rides and learning about different cultures and very interested in politics.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We can share our vastly different cultures with our host and even cook (if you can handle the Ghanian spiciness, it took me a while).
We could share in conversation about anything from 'who's the best spice girl to who was the best player at the Copa's (I might need a beer to handle the last one though).
But mostly we are very self sufficient so if you are busy we'll be respectful of that and most likely spend all our time roaming around your city/town.
