Salve!!

Me chamo Lara, sou cozinheira e padeira vegana e estou viajando pela Bahia em “lua de melado” com meu companheiro, Thiago! Vamos no estilo mochilão nas costas e joinha na mão pedindo carona por aí, afinal o que faz uma viagem ser legal são as pessoas e história que conhecemos pelo caminho, não o luxo ou fotos perfeitas.

Amo conhecer cidades novas e comer comidas que nunca tinha comido antes.

Nasci e cresci em São Paulo, pela qual tenho sentimentos de amor e ódio (rs). Sinto que não é possível manter a sanidade só ficando dentro da cidade grande, é necessário estar em contato com a natureza e conhecer outros lugares para arejar a cabeça. Hospedamos algumas pessoas na nossa casa pelo CS e foi uma experiência incrível, como viajar sem sair de casa, e entendi que mais do que pernoites, aqui tem uma comunidade muuuito bacana de viajantes que se fortalecem. Então agora venho buscar na comunidade sofás onde dormir, dicas de lugares legais na cidade, ou o que puder oferecer para ajudar esse casal a conhecer o máximo do maravilhoso país Bahia até o fim de janeiro!

Obs: estamos ambos vacinados, é claro!

I'm a vegan baker in São Paulo, the city wich I was born, lived all my life and have strong love-and-hate feelings. I love to take long walks in my city, go to my favorite restaurant nearby or get to know a very local and traditional place of that neighborhood.

I already studied design and made two years of Psicology graduation before realizing that what I actually love to do is cooking. Curently I'm studying Gastronomy, but I dont't regret the time I spent in other activities because the experiences I had were so important for the person I am today!

Curently I have my own little bakery with my husband. We make vegan croissants for a couple of coffee shops that we really like, and I simply love what I do.

Food is my personal obsession (haha). I love to get to know ingredients, where they come from and how a cuisine is shaped by it's local products. I love to cook with fresh ingredientes, and for me the best meal is a very simple and carefully made one. I'll try a new dish everytime I can, and would love to know the personal stories that a person have with a dish, because food is such an afectuous thing.

My favorite kind of hang out is what I call a "grandma's party": invite some frinds, bake a cake, make some coffee and spend all the afternoon talking. I'm into diversity, sewing, music, yoga, drinks, permaculture and many other subjects. I think politics is in everything that we do, from living to eating, and I really attempt to try my best respecting my limitations.

I also like to scape the city and go hiking, camp in the mountains, spend some time in the nature - it makes me slow down and contemplate the life more colorfully.

I love to hear about other people passions and experiences. :)

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Porque conhecer pessoas de diferentes contextos que eu aumenta minha visão de mundo e me torna uma pessoa mais plena. Também gosto de contribuir para fortalecer a rede de viajantes, pois sei a diferença que faz ter um lugar seguro e acolhedor para conseguir descansar e conhecer realmente um local.

Because meeting people with different backgrounds and share experiences makes me open my mind to the many possibilities that life has, and I really appreciate that.
Also, I don't have a lot of money to go on trips, so couch surfing make it more affordable at the same time that makes it more deep and fun!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Andar 50km em 4 dias no Vale do Pati, na Chapada Diamantina, dormindo em barraca e comendo apenas cuscuz e miojo hahaha

Once I made a hiking in the old and abandoned railroald that use to take coffee from the country to the litoral of São Paulo (it's called "Funicular"). The hiking is not hard fisically, but is very challeging mentally because, in some points, if you miss a step you could fall in deadly gaps. This teached me a lot about my mental and fisical limits, about focus and about feeling grateful to be able to see the nature, breath fresh air and have a nice bed to rest at night. Or a nice couch, haha!

I love to cook for other people! I can make vegan meals, maybe a traditional brasillian meal and a caipirinha (many friends would say that my caipirinha is the best caipirinha they had ever tasted) if you'd like to try it.

I can share curiosities about brasilian culture, music, food and language. I love my people and where I come from :)

I'm pretty bad at dancing and singing but would love to learn more about that!
Also, I'm looking to improve my spanish and just started to learn italian (would love someone very pacient to talk to).

I'm good with pets and wouldn't mind to give a helping hand with gardening or other tasks.

I really love to hear about other people's experiences and passions, and can share my many adventures and what we call in portuguese "passação de perrengue" (moments of difficulties that look funny when you talk about it in the past, but was only suffering by that time, haha)
