About Me

Hi, I'm Lara, a 29 years old girl from Barcelona. For the past two years, I've been living in Toronto, Canada, working as a Spanish Teacher and helping others to learn this beautiful language and culture. I married Daniel 3 years ago, also originally from Barcelona and a pretty awesome guy ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm pretty new here! I'm trying Couch Surfing for the first time since Daniel and I are planning to travel through the US and Canada for a couple of months. I consider this platform and any others that help people to connect and share experiences based only on the generosity's people one of the best things you can find on the Internet.

Interests

Traveling around the world, swimming, hanging out with my friends, hiking and spend time with my family in Barcelona are one of my favorite thinks to do in my life. Oh, I also love board games and arcade games, so fun when you can combine them with friends!

Music, Movies, and Books

It's hard to tell! I love music, cinema and reading. My iPod is almost always on, Netflix is my home page and my kindle is always charged.
I like to listen many different music genres, I can be listening from Franz Ferdinand to the Beatles or Classical Music in the same day.
I love all sort of movies, instead of action movies I would say (classics such as Terminator are pretty cool though).
Pride and Prejudice is one of my favorite books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Coming to live to Canada was bold for me, since I had always lived in my hometown, Barcelona.

Teach, Learn, Share

I enjoy teaching Spanish! If you're learning it or want to practice with us, both of us, Daniel and I are experienced Spanish teachers who love to see how our students develop their Spanish skills day after day.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like to believe that we are kind and friendly people who share and give all what we can without expecting anything in return. Daniel is a good cook and we could delight you with delicious Spanish dishes like Daniel's famous Spanish tortilla! So yummy! :D
