Hello! I’m Lara, a 24 years old girl from the Netherlands. I have studied Cultural Anthropology and Development Studies, so I have a big interest in other cultures :) I live in Nijmegen, a city in the Netherlands, where I work in a bar/restaurant. In my free time I love listening to all sorts of music, cook nice food or have a drink and good conversations with friends. I love to meet new (foreign) people and hear all about their lives and cultures!

I love Lana del Rey, Alt-J, Maribou State, Mac Miller, Jungle by Night, Polo & Pan, Kendrick Lamar, Loyle Carner, a Tribe Called Quest, OutKast, Bob Dylan, Bicep, Jon Hopkins, the 1975, the Cancel, Balthazar, but also a lot of African artists and disco, house, jazz, techno and rock music. Books I don’t read that often because I spend all my time listening to music 😋 but if I read I read mostly novels or anthropological books. A few of my favourite movies are Shutter Island, P.S. I love you, Grease, and a lot of Wes Anderson movies.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Since I studied Cultural Anthropology and Development Studies I can tell some things about that, as well about International Relations where I did a minor in. Besides that I can teach you some Dutch language or culture :) and I have a lot of nice recipes for (vegetarian) food and drinks.
