About Me
Hello everyone! We are Mathis and Lara, siblings from Germany who want to explore Iran together.
Lara is my 22 year old sister and one of the most kindly and friendliest persons I know. [Yeah I know, my judgement isn´t really objective :) ] Despite appearing shaky superficially [only somtimes], she is determined to reach her goals and makes the right decisions for the people close to her.
Mathis (25) is my older yet sometimes younger brother :) He is one of the smartest persons I know and he has an answer for everything! His head is full of big ideas and he is never afraid to dream the greatest dream. Unfortunately the world is not always prepared for Mathis, therefore he might appear a little crazy to people meeting him for the first time. But once you have Mathis on your side, he will be the lovliest and most generous man you can imagine. Don´t miss to get to know my brother. I would not want to miss him in m life :)
Interests
Mathis: I´m obsessed with current affairs and their political, historical, sociological and scientifical background. I would love to have a conversation with you about anything that shaped, shapes or will shape the world we all live in. And ducks. I really like the way they walk.
Lara:
# I am interested in people and their stories. What their life looks like, what they believe in, how they love, what their goals in life are and what happiness means to them. I want to be enriched by different cultures, religions and lifes. I want to find the answers to the big questions we all have.
# I try to figure out what I can do, to make this world a better place!
# Trekking and long walks in nature
# Baobab miniature trees
# Stones and Crystals (Rosequarz and Citrin!!)
# Horses
Music, Movies, and Books
Lara: Asking for my "favourite whatever" is a tough question for me, because there is a lot of music I can´t stop listening to, movies that inspired me and books I was facinated by. Here is a small collection of what I would consider "my favourite" just today:
The muscian FETSUM, who does urban soul and funk.
The book "Great Love" by Navid Kermani from 2014 and everything from Mascha Kaléko, a german-speaking jewish lyric poet.
The movie "Last Night" by Massy Tadjedin from 2010 and "I, Daniel Blake" by Ken Loach from 2016
Mathis: Kate Tempest, Yung Hurn, Princess Nokia, Tocotronic, Woodie Guthrie, James Blake, Bon Iver Water Music-T.C. Boyle, The Stranger- A.Camus, Infinite Joy- D. Foster-Wallace // The origins of totalitarianism- H. Arendt, Post-Scarcity Anarchism- M.Bookchin, The Art of Loving- E.Fromm, The Grand Chessboard- Z.Brzezinski
