About Me

I'm 19 yrs old and currently Work & Travelling through the UK which has been my biggest dream since I've visited England 5 years ago :) We, my friend Nele and me, have made so many incredible experiences so far since we always meet new and interesting people which stories we like to listen to a lot. After our trip I'd really like to study history back in Germany.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Me and my friend are travelling through the UK and want to make the most out of it: We want to live as cheap as possible (and I have to say we're doing quite a good job so far :) ) but on the other hand, we'd like to meet many new people and make our trip an unforgettable experience! We've stayed in four different (family) homes already and got to experience all the different types of family life and so much more. In my opinion this is the only way to get the full experience, to not see a country from the tourist perspective but dive deep into the culture and society.

Interests

I would describe myself as an outgoing & open-minded girl who loves to have a good laugh but I'd also say I can focus on certain things and work hard if I have to :) I looove to be creative. Crafting, baking, sewing, painting, writing or making music- I always put my whole heart in it to get the most aesthetic and authentic result as possible... Since we've spend a month in the Lake District I would say that hiking has become a new hobby of mine as well. Although I have loved the nature before I changed my point of view during many hikes and started to appreciate it.

Music, Movies, and Books

I read basically everything I find on a bookshelf, listen to everything that comes on a vinyl or spotify playlist and watch a lot of the films that are shown in cinemas or on tv- so there is no specific kind of books I read or music I listen to... I'm open for everything!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Life is about the small things I would say- and there's been a lot in my life and on our journey! As I said before this journey is about the nature, the language and the culture but most importantly it's about the people we've met so far and the people we will meet: All of them are different, all of them have their own stories to tell and that's how I would answer that question :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I think we are always learning. That's actually what this journey has told me so far. Experieces you make, places you see and then, of course: people you meet! All of that starts to suddenly change you. You are constantly learning since you get inspired by all the little things that happen to you on your way, all the stories you get to hear.
