Overview
About Me
I enjoy a good conversation as much as being silent next to each other, a cup of coffee as much as a well-balanced Gin Tonic (with Pepper), a sunny day as much as a thunderstorm.
I love crazy ideas.
Right now, I am a volunteer in Midtjylland, Denmark.
I work in a school with kids with troubled life stories- what I am confronted with every day is often heartbreaking and groundshaking for me. But it made me be grateful for the life and the the opportunities I have and for those who are most important to me - my family and my friends.
What I experience here defines my way - it already had because its the reason I became a member of the couchsurfing community.
To share, to listen and to experience.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness."
~ M. Twain
When I sat on the beach in Barcelona,
When I walked through the streets of Paris,
When I looked over Rome from one of the Seven Hills,
When I entered another Venetian church,
When I drove through Austria, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Croatia, France and Denmark,
And
When I wandered through my home town Vienna with my head already somewhere else again,
I always had the same feeling:
That I was genuinely happy and grateful,
That I couldn't wait to see more of this beautiful, somehow messed up, but still to be saved world.
And
That I deeply hoped that I one day could give something back to those who welcomed me with open arms.
To those who had an open and honest, respectful conversation with a stranger.
To those who smiled at me
and to those who helped without wanting something in return.
That is why.

I'll have my grandma's Guglhupf recipe as well as the one for the world's best chocolate cake in my backpack:)
- I love cooking and trying out new recipes (which I use for inspiration, I am just not able to follow the instructions correctly;))
Wherever I go, I always have a notebook with me:
to write down what I observe and what I think. And to write poems.
If you want I can leave you one behind :)
