ABOUT ME

I was born in the USA but moved to New Zealand before I can remember. I grew up on top of a hill surrounded by native bush in the bay of islands until I was 10, then we moved to a large sheep and horse farm in the south Island. Both places instilled in me a heathy respect for nature and a passion for the freedom of the outdoors.

I moved to Christchurch to further my education and gained a Bachelor of Science from Canterbury University. I then traveled through South/Central America and Europe. I met Pete my husband through CS while he was living in the Dominican Republic. He is also a local to Christchurch.

The last five years Pete and I have crewed super yachts in the Med, Caribbean and Canadian Great Lakes and travelled through Central and South America kitesurfing.

Thoughts and actions have effect - so wield them with purpose and direction.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When I was 21 I finished my degree and decided to travel. Solo, I went through South America and Europe - often couch surfing.

The people I met through couchsurfing have been strikingly individual characters with real charisma. I feel fortunate to be able to help some of them on their odysseys. I am truely grateful to the people who have helped me on mine... And then there is Pete!

I will never forget or fully repay my debt!

Interests

I love being active. In New Zealand I take advantage of the hills with mountain biking and snow sports when they're in season.

But Kite surfing is my current obsession.
