ABOUT ME

I was born in a Siberian town Irkutsk and spent there a great part of my life. I was always in love with traveling and seeing new things and took every chance to get away. Later, at some point of my life I moved to Moscow and then to Sweden where I lived for one year and absolutely loved it! Now I live in another great city - Chicago!
I would describe myself as an open-minded and fun person. I like meeting new people and learn about different countries and cultures, different food and traditions. One of the things I like to do is cooking vegetarian food, especially trying new recipes from all different cuisines. I absolutely love nature, animals, wild life and forest, hiking, swimming, camping is some of my favorite activities. I also like the city life, walking the streets, interesting areas, latin dancing.

PHILOSOPHY

Life isn't measured by the amount of breathes, but by the amount of moments which take your breath away…

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Strangely enough, my friend from Texas once told me that he found a website which one can use to stay with locals anywhere in the world, even in my home town Irkutsk in Eastern Siberia! I wrote down the link, but registered six months later when was going to Sweden. Since then I am in love with CS!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had quite a bit of CS experience before I moved to Chicago, mostly around Europe while I lived in Sweden. Now I host people in Chicago. I can't really count how many people I met from CS (and I met a lot!), but I am happy to say, I never had a negative experience!

兴趣

I love traveling... absolutely love it! My dream is to see every corner of the world (I know it's impossible, but it's a nice dream) :)
I love cooking mostly vegan/vegetarian food... healthy and tasty is my motto!
I love spending time outside of the city, camping, swiming, ski, slalom, skating, hiking...
I love good music and dancing.
I dance latin dance and recently started learning tango.

music - different kinds, it depends on my mood...
movies - I enjoy a good play and my favourite movies the ones I can get involved and emotinal. If a movie makes me think about it afterwards it is a good movie. Unfortunately there are not a lot movies like this out there. From the top of my head these ones I enjoyed a lot - The Reader, 7 pounds, Lolita (1997)
books - for now... trying to master my English, but when I can't take it anymore - Paulo Coelho.

Every time I am going somewhere, I see amazing and jaw-dropping things. Cannot count them. But some of them are Colosseum in Rome, Red Square in Moscow, Eiffel Towel in Paris, Toledo in Spain, Pamukale in Turkey, Red Sea in Egypt...
