ABOUT ME

I am a 26 years old German girl and finished high school in summer 2011. From September 2011 to August 2012 I spent my voluntary year in Tbilisi, Georgia. This was when my love for Eastern Europe began...
Right now I am studying in Berlin- Russian languages and literatures and history of arts. From February to August 2015 I went abroad again to study in Sankt Petersburg, Russia for half a year. It was a great time (also because there I met the man who is now my husband :)) I absolutely fell in love with this giant and versatile country that I've heard so much about and I'm looking forward to see more of it.
This year I went to Kyrgyztan- another dream-country of mine- to work as a translator/guide This again proved that learning Russian was a great idea because it opens so many doors to other cultures and their people.
This autumn I'll finally travel to my beloved Georgia again and I'm really looking forward to it...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

While living in Georgia me and my roommates did a lot of couchsurfing (and also hosted a lot of people from all over the world) and always liked it. Especially in Georgia, Russia and in Turkey I made some very good experiences. Unfortunately I haven't been able to use this great way of traveling and getting to know people for quite a while now.
I definitely have to change that this year!

Centres d'intérêt

Music (concerts,singing,trying to play piano,dancing)
Travelling (especially in Eastern Europe, Russia, Central Asia)
Languages (I'm covinced that learning a language is the first and most important step to get to know a new culture.)
When I'm in a "new" city or country I love to get to know it by just walking around and talk to people!
I'd like to share my experiences with others and I don't want to stop finding out about things, people and places I don't know yet...
That's also why I think that Couch Surfing is the best way to discover a new city!

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

The best decision I've ever made was to go abroad- once to Belgium then to Georgia and now to Sankt Peterburg. It's the best way to enjoy life, meet new people and see great places.
Great moments in Georgia:
-eating Acharuli Chatschapuri
-going to Chulo spontaneously
-celebrating Mawlid Al Nabi
-moving to Dadianis Kutscha
-to bat around Georgia by car
-defeating my friends when we play "Asse raus"

This list is actually infinite because Georgia (and its people) is just GREAT!!

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

As I love travelling I am also very interested in learning as much as possible about other countries and cultures. That's why I really hope to host and meet interesting and open-minded people who tell me about their lives and also want to show me their countries/ cities.
