Hi there, nice to meet you!

I’m Lara, not yet 30 (1 month to go), from the Netherlands, would describe myself as an adventurous geek: love books and technology but also love to travel and experience all kinds of crazy things.

Lived in France and Australia for a while, crossed Australia with a 1992 Ford Econovan that broke down every 200KM, might or might not have spent a night in Thai prison (will tell you that story when we meet over a nice craft beer or a good glass of wine ;) ), climbed the Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu together with my equally adventurous girlfriend Marta. In general: just love to have a good time which usually includes as many different people from as many different places, backgrounds and cultures as possible, no matter what their religion, race, gender identity or orientation.

Bikes down ‘el camino de la muerte’ (deathroad) in Bolivia; 3 hours of downhill mountain biking from one of the world’s highest capitals (La Paz) to the valley down below - 3 best hours of my life.

A ‘gezellig’ evening where we can share stories, cook up a meal together and of course I’d never arrive empty handed, but bring a nice bottle of wine or specialties from the previous country travelled :)
