ABOUT ME

Hi, my name is Lara. I´m 19 years old! Love to travel, cook, hang out with friends, get to know other people and I´m always up to do something, if there is time :). And ususally there is!

Since last summer I live in Raleigh, NC for 1 year. It was my dream to come to the US and live here for a while. I´m an au pair, means I work for a family and live with them and get paid. I take care of 2 kids. Which is not always easy. A lot of responsibility. Now I know that I dont want kids in the near future haha...

I decided to go to the United States after graduation to get to know this country and the culture and to improve my english. I´m really enjoying this year. It´s a great experience and I would never ever regret anything! I just love it!

I always try to live every day as if it was my last one, which is not always working ;)! But at least I try!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I live with my hostfamily together and can not offer a bed or couch but as soon as I have my own flat or go back to Germany, I will offer a couch.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I´m brand new, I never couchsurfed before. Just heard about it. A friend of mine and friends of friends did it, and they were all thrilled! So I hope I will have the option to couchsurf this summer.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite movie right now is "No Strings Attached". And I actually dont have a specific kind of music I prefer, its a lil bit of everything.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

An amazing thing I have seen is New York City from above, but this is not really that amazing! And I was in New York City when the blizzard hit the City, everything broke down, and it was just awesome to see how people try to dig their cars out of the snow.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can sew :D, not great but I can show you how. I can cook a few German dishes so I can show you that and of course I can teach you German :).
