ABOUT ME

My name is Lara Starr. I'm originally from Upstate NY. I am currently working as a freelance journalist so I can stay funded while backpacking. I have worked many jobs, most of which were volunteer. I love working with people and animals and I don't shy from hard work. I'm a very outgoing, spiritually oriented person that wants to acquire knowledge, enjoy life, and experience everything I can in this lifetime while helping as many people and animals as possible.

Im a beginner but I'm definitely looking forward to whats around the corner.

Interests

First and foremost, I am a writer, freelance journalist and aspiring author. I am also a political, spiritual and environmental activist. No, that doesn't make me a tree hugging hippie LOL. I'm just another person who has stumbled on an unfortunate truth and my life has been forever changed by it. Right now I'm just trying to make the most of this life, one day at a time.

I like to hang out with friends, meet new people, enjoy the great outdoors, do some cooking or baking, make/build things, have a light smoke or drink, create music, have long conversations, etc.. I'm interested in just about anything that's fun, informative, inspiring or productive. I have many 'hobbies' and I'm very passionate about the things I do..
