CURRENT MISSION

Currently I'm in Kansas City in school and working so I don't have as much time as I would like for traveling. Thought CouchSurfing would be a cool place to check out and offer my couch to those that are out and about.

ABOUT ME

All about me, hmmmm. Well I'm from Montana, where I've had the pleasure of spending most of my existence, and hope to be back there soon. I live in KC, which if you know me seems weird, because I just ended my engagement and decided to pick up and move somewhere I've not been and having never lived in the city KC seemed as good as anywhere. Not to mention I'm already a resident of Kansas and that makes school a lot cheaper!
I spent the last three summers flyfishing and working in Katmai Nat'l Park, Alaska, as the chef at Grosvenor Lodge. Before that I was in Missoula, backpacking, fishing and floating my life away, I'd be there now if not for that "crazy little thing called love". I've lived in Kansas, Minnesota, a brief stint in Colorado but mostly Montana is where my heart will always be.
I'm a super laid back do as I please person and it seems to suite me well. I miss traveling, or at least being able to pick up and go like I used to but this staying put thing is only temporary. I actually like KC way more then I could have expected, it's a great place to ride my bike, people in cars aren't bungholes, and that's pretty much how I get my fresh air everyday, riding to and from work.
So I just typed way more then I thought I'd be able to but now don't really know what else to include so if you have a question ask.

PHILOSOPHY

I am where I am and that's where I be. I live my life because life needs to be lived and who better to live my life than me?

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm participating at the moment by sharing my couch with those who need a place to crash. Hopefully in two years I'll have the chance to be on the otherside and need a couch to crash on. So far that's my participating but as I get to know this community better I hope to offer more.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When I was going to Alaska I'd spend two weeks before and after my trip couchsurfing with friends in Missoula. If there was ever a great town to couch surf in I'd have to rank Missoula for sure in the top 10!

Backpacking, bikeriding, floating the river, flyfishing, if it involves fresh air and the wind in my hair I'm in.

I read like 5 books a week all different genres and authors, I'm not picky. Same with music, I'm a pretty equal oppurtunity listener as long as it's not anything new and poppy. The last concert I went to was Tool, maybe that helps.

Chased a bear out of camp, and I mean I literally charged the bear, without being eaten or mauled. It was an awesome adrenaline rush.
