About Me

I'm a nineteen year old girl, who was born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I have got two younger siblings who also were born there. After a few years we moved 'back' to Switzerland where my parents come from, so I have the red passport. We live for about 13 years in Germany. First we moved to Wettstetten, a small village near Ingolstadt, Bayern. Then we moved to Kirchheim. A lovely town near Stuttgart. There I went to Middle- and Highschool. I've graduated last year in summer. After that I started working. Now I'm travelling with my boyfriend around the world. Our stops are
Island hopping in Thailand
Kuala Lumpur
Singapore
Bali
Australia (Cairns to Sydney)
Hawaii
Vancouver
San Francisco
Las Vegas
Los Angeles
Chicago
Montréal
After that I would like to go to university but honestly I have now idea what to study. So I'm happy about every tip (:

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because I love meeting new people and listening to their stories. Another point is that I think the best way to visit and explore a city is through the locals.
You can't experience the culture better than when you live with somebody who lives in that country. You get tips and must sees that you can't find in any travel guide and which maybe isn't that kind of tourist stuff. In my imagination you get
to see a city through other eyes. That can make a place more lovable or less. Because I'm a student I haven't got a lot of money. And I do prefer spending my money to explore something than spending it for my overnight stays.

Interests

Of course I'm addicted to traveling. My parents took us kids often to different places of Asia, Australia, and a couple of islands. Sadly I was to young to remember anything of it so I have to visit every place again to make my own memories. But I can say that it's in my blood. :)
I love playing sports. During school time I played volleyball, tennis, went swimming and jogging.
I like to try new sports and I'm open minded for everything.
I'm very interested in fashion. At home I have got hundreds of inStyle magazines. Not that I could ever buy myself anything but I like to know what the latest trend is.
I'm also often up to date when it comes to celebrities and that un useful stuff stays in my brain for too long time.
I enjoy doing things with my friends even when we're just meeting for a coffee. I especially like our conversations about what's going on and what isn't that good at the moment. To talk about the smaller and bigger problems in life.
At home I often went out. Because my hometown is not that big we went mostly to pubs. And when there was a party somewhere it always gave you a feeling like you were on the 'Oktoberfest'.
At the moment those are all interest that come to my mind :D well and I like to write...

Music, Movies, and Books

To be honest I'm a typical "radio listener". I know all charts but I haven't got a favorite gender. What I don't listen is Metallica (my cousins favorite) and (German) hardcore rap.
When I start reading a book I can't stop. Then I'm a weekend long in my room just reading. And after two days I'm done (my sister is even worse than myself). I've got two favorite books, both fantasy and with strong women. I also like crime and, of course, love books. What I have never read or watched is "lord of the rings". But I watched a hundreds of other movies. We have got a lot of DVDs and we kids watched all of them a couple of times. One of my favorite movies is "life as we know it" with Katherine Heigl and Josh Duhamel. And I really like it when movies have a happy ending :)

Teach, Learn, Share

You are never to young or to old to "make your dreams come true". And when one door closes another will open. You just have to push it.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Tell me what to do and I'll try my best! And my boyfriend is strong.
Well I have learned how to cook during Australia. Now I can make noodles with sauce, pancakes and rice with vegetables. Probably nothing to impress anybody.
My passion is more in baking cakes and that stuff. I'm pretty good with handling kids and pets. And my boyfriend and I like to talk to others and pretty often forget time.
