I have just returned home (Brisbane) this year after travelling and working around the world for 2 years.

Grew up in a small beach town on the coast of NSW. Moved out of home to go to Uni up north, then moved to Brisbane to work. Have taught for 15years as a Health / Physical Education / Outdoor Education teacher.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have hosted people from America, Canada, Singapore and Taiwan and I have also been hosted in Taiwan, Japan and America - it is great to meet new people and share travel experiences.

Interests

I love spending time outdoors as part of my job (HPE & Outdoor Education teacher) and in my spare time: camping, hiking, river tracing and yoga - I also love the water: going to the beach, kayaking / canoeing and anything adventurous! I also love watching live music - rock, metal, grunge - and often go to gigs in Brisbane. I like eating yummy healthy food, especially if I pick it from my vege garden - I'm also known to like a few drinks, especially Bundaberg Rum :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have done many amazing things :)
Travelled the world for 2 years
Expedition hikes in Taiwan (hiking the Holy Ridge - a 6 day hike all above 3,000m) and many throughout Australia (Larapinta trail - 250km over 18 days through central Australia)
