ABOUT ME
Hi! I'm Larissa from Brazil. Some people say I'm a funny person and I tend to agree with them as well. However, I'm not sure if I'll be able to keep it up in a foreign language, but that's part of the challenge, haha.
I am about to finish my studies at the Federal University of Bahia, but before that I'll be attending a one year scholarship program at the University of Toronto, Canada. I am currently working (a lot) on a residential project at a local architecture office. In addition, I am also working on an urban mobility presentation of Salvador.
Update: I'm living in Toronto and it's been great so far. However, I'm currently visiting my boyfriend at State College, PA. We both are attending the same scholarship program and also making some travel plans for this end of year.
Update: Back to Toronto, awesome trip!
Update: Back to Brazil, best experience ever!
PHILOSOPHY
Life is ephemeral.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm new here! Even though I have created my account a long time ago I never used it before.
Depending on my future housing situation in Canada, I'd be glad to host/ meet people while there.
Update: I had an incredible first experience as a guest in Toronto, Canada. Seriously, I never thought that CS would be so good, it kind of restored my faith in humanity. Now I'm looking foward to repeat it and also contribute once I'm back to my home country.

Music, Movies, and Books
Novos Baianos, Gilberto Gil, Ana Caram, MPB4, Mew, Metric, The Dears, Loquat, Ladytron, Yan Tiersen, Tears for Fears. I don't have much time to search/ listen to new stuff, but my latest music obsession is a group called The Battles.
Almost all my readings are related to architecure. I need to diversify it a bit though!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hitchhiking! I once decided to hitchhike from Telluride to Montrose/US. I did it with a friend and it was awesome! We've met so many interesing people along a relatively short way. I would definitely do it again (depending on the area restrictions, of course).
