About Me

I'm 27 years old and I love traveling by myself. I feel free to explore the city according to my own wishes and interests, while listening to my themed playlists (yes, I make one for each city I visit!). I love the subway, reading in public and listening to people talking in different languages.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I never liked the idea of staying at hotels, because they can be a little detached from the city. I've always enjoyed staying in places where I can talk to people, get tips of places to see and different things to do, so I usually stay at hostels, and now I'm trying Couchsurfing because it seemed like the next logical step.

Interests

My trips are always related in some way to my interests because I feel that to experience a place I must have an emotional connection with it. I can talk about pretty much anything Harry Potter related since I've been studying the books since my early teens. I also like to talk about culture and literature in general. My favorite band is The National and I'm willing to talk about how their music changed my life for hours.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love the Harry Potter books and other fantasy books like The Shades of Magic Trilogy, The Lord of the Rings; also anything by Elena Ferrante, Donna Tartt, Ian McEwan, and Haruki Murakami.

My favorite bands are The National and Wilco, but I also listen to Sufjan Stevens, Death Cab for Cutie, Radiohead, Lorde, boygenius, Sharon Van Etten, Lucy Dacus, Phoebe Bridgers...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've postponed my first international trip for years because I was too scared of it. Then, in 2017, I decided to do it by myself and went to London, also facing my fear of water. Is that amazing enough? I don't know.
Oh, I've also followed The National on tour and got to sing with Matt Berninger. That IS amazing.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share a good chat about my country, books, music, and food. I can cook Brazilian food and talk about recipes! I can also share my amazing The National playlists.
