Overview
About Me
I'm a former journalist who left his job in 2007 to travel round the world. As I could not find employment in my profession after I returned, I settled for something quite boring (insurance hell) and stuck with it for seven years - but I was slowly going crazy, old, and depressed. So I decided 2016 will be the year I'm going places again. I just quit my job. I have all the time in the world, a little cash on the side, a few ideas in my head, and not much to lose. I'm leaving for Thailand in July, then... we'll see. I don't want to plan too much yet. I chose to believe in my lucky star and will follow the signs.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm afraid I'm quintessentially Swiss, in that I tend to be a bit introvert and can have a hard time actively meeting new people. I think couchsurfing is a good way to get out of my comfort zone / hotel room and get to know interesting individuals who can teach me stuff.
Also right now and until I'm leaving I have a spare room in my little home (more like a wooden cabin actually, but super cozy) and some free time, so I'm offering it to whoever is visiting Lausanne. This is totally new for me, so bear with me, but I promise to do my best to make your stay enjoyable :)
