About Me

Hey there!

I'm Lars, a 24 year old Belgian currently residing in Rotterdam, and I'm trying to learn more about the world we live in.
In my weeks of backpacking I have noticed I enjoy my stay in a city a lot more if I get in touch with locals or expats, so that's exactly how I want to continue traveling. Let's face it, you guys are waaaay more interesting than the average backpacker you meet in a hostel ;)

I guess all the standard couchsurfing characteristics apply to me, meaning that I'm curious, easygoing, clean, .. you name it and I'll try my best to adapt. Oh and I tend to be funny at times as well!

I've finished engineering from Ghent University and spent one year as an exchange student in Thessaloniki, Greece. I've been active in a European student NGO (BEST) which allowed me to see a lot of Europe, and after graduation I've spent eight months exploring various countries in Asia, before embracing the adult life.

Currently working in Rotterdam, where I'm maybe to host in the weekends, but would be willing to meet up :) drop me a line if you're here!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

What better way to get to know a country's culture than by meeting its people? ;)
If I return to Belgium and have my own place, I'm definitely planning to give back and host people, cause I think it's a nice way to keep life interesting. Currently I can already do a little bit in Rotterdam.

Music, Movies, and Books

What I Can Share with Hosts

I've literally got zero skill to make or teach something, apart from maybe making guacamole or vegan pancakes, which are two random things I picked up along the way. And conversations, I am interested in many topics.
