I'm currently a student finishing up my master's degree and just completed an exchange semester in São Paulo, Brazil and now travelling around until mid-January 2016, where I will return to Denmark and finish my studies. As of this very moment I am crashing at a friends house in Rio de Janeiro waiting for a hopefully epic NYE party!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

After living and working in London back in 2009 followed by my first exchange experience in South Korea, then I have just been hooked on travelling and everything that comes with it! The amazing people and the new perspectives they bring me forcing to reflect constantly. And in every encounter I try to be as open as I possibly can since I believe this is the only way to approach a new person with a shared interest in making new friends from around the world. The specific reason for being on CS right now is because I'm planning on travelling to a new country in South America after NYE, but haven't decided where yet...

Interests

I would say I have many different interests but of the top of my mind, then I am very interested in travelling in general along with a growing passion for photography. Next investment will be a proper camera! Besides this I'm very interested in public speaking and the power of mindset.

Other interests are languages, behavioral psychology, business, entrepreneurship (since I started my own company back in Feb. this year), and finally fitness. I like to keep in shape and eat right which is a natural part of my life when I'm back home in Denmark whereas it typically goes all to hell when I travel, but then again, you only live once, right. ;)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I like all kinds of music. It really depends on my mood what music I listen to. These days I listen a lot to a Danish singer named Lukas Graham and especially his song '7 Years' - check it out!

Books: Lately I've been reading a couple of books about behavioral psychology and the power of mindset, which I find very interesting in a business context. Buuut, I must admit that I have also read all seven Harry Potter books and enjoyed every single one of them.

Movies: The Shawshank Redemption and Training Day are my favorite movies.

I just realized doing the list of countries that I've been to 25 where I have done 20 of them within the last two years.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have travelled quite a lot over the past couple of years both in Asia and Europe doing backpacking and interrailing, so I have a story or two to tell and also able to recommend places to go. By now I have lived almost 1.5 years of my life abroad which gives me the perspective of not only a tourist or traveller, but as a local resident which I think in many ways is different from one another.
Besides this, then I am very interested in many things giving me a natural curiosity to knowing more about what makes a society tick and how people interact with one another.
