Overview
About Me
Wondering where I'll let life take me.
PHILOSOPHY
Tends to change with the seasons.
Trying to stay sharp. Being nice. Being all I can be and .... that
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
If I have the time and chance I'll host people who take the time to read my short profile and still would want to meet me. Copy/Paste is fine, but I like to feel special, so let me know why you want to crash at my place and not my neighbours.
Hope to surf some couches myself as well.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Crashed a few beds here and there and had people staying here. So far only good ones through this Forum.
Hope the people have enjoyed having me. I sure appreciate their hospitality.
Interests

Architecture, books, art, people, social and historical circumstances, psychology, options, potentials and limits, personal and collective.
Music (from oldies to avantgarde/contemporary exp. rock), reading (from poetry to history, philosophy, society and culture (including soccer/football)
Getting out, Trying to figure out, staying in, delving in, meeting people.
A special interest in Germany. Ja, wir können uns auf Deutsch unterhalten.
+Eastern/Central European culture and politics. I am and will be delving deeper into them in the coming years. I've travelled Balkan and the eastern parts of Europe the last couple of years and will continue to do so in the future I'm sure.
Always hope to learn more/unlearn where and when that's needed.

Music, Movies, and Books
See above.
Some examples
Music: For an example Ariel Pink, Ames Dunes, Iris Dement, Texas Tornados, Oren Ambarchi, Carla Thomas, Grace Jones. As you can sense: From Tex-mex and oldies to exp. music.
Movie: Leviathan, Manuscripts don't burn, Toni Erdmann to name a few more recent ones. Other than that: Scola, Godard, Resnais and you probably know..And the Bourne Trilogy which I gladly analyze and theoritize over.
Book: Pentti Saarikoski. A semi-known Finnish author (outside Finland anyway), who talks about the minor and major things in life, variying complex litterary exurcions with details from everyday life that some would refer to as banal. Günter Walraff!
Others: Danish poet Inger Christensen, Cees Noteboom, Christoph Hein, Claudio Magris, Michel Butor, Jennifer Egan, Geert Mak, Jorge Borges, Jan-Werner Müller, Cesar Aira, James Joyce. Peter Mair, Jacques Ranciere, Anthony Beevor.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
-Driving through Europe playing music in the streets with friends.
-Saying something nice that mattered to someone once.
San Juan de Chamula in Chiapas/Mexico stands as a particular souvenier/memory travelling-wise.
Travelling through 14 countries in and just outside Europe.
