About Me

I live in an apartment in the centre of Utrecht with my girlfriend (Isabel, also on the profile photos).

I am open-minded, non-judgmental, thoughtful, enthusiastic, a good listener. Politically green and progressive. I love socializing, and to get to know people at a deep level. Somewhat perfectionistic and chaotic, making over-optimistic plannings.

As my job, I help university students and high school students with understanding and mastering mathematics, statistics, data analysis, physics and programming.

Some things I like: meeting people, sharing stories during drinks or food, walking and mountain hiking, exploring the area, playing games, watching movies, hearing or making music, having fun.

Some things I value: nature and wildlife, our planet, people, intellectual insights, science, deep personal conversations, art, music, literature, history.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I fell in love with Couchsurfing when I made a trip staying at 8 hosts during October 2022. It was even more wonderful than I expected: it really felt like staying at friends, and like living there myself instead of being a tourist. I am so grateful to my hosts for letting me feel at home, for sharing and listening, for having fun together, and for their advises about what to visit in the area.

I definitely will go on such Couchsurfing trips again, and in the meantime I want to give back to guests what hosts gave to me! I expect that being a host is just as nice as being a guest, because meeting a new person is the same, and it would feel like a small holiday.
