Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing can help me look for new friends while sharing knowledge. More importantly, I love learning Cross Culture Understanding lessons - not only from textbooks but also from real interactions. Thus, I am envisioning such a cultural immersion whenever engaging in a new social setup. I have always loved diverse cultures from my own homeland and abroad. At last, I believe Couchsurfing can be a good way of traveling.

- Music: Instrumental, DJ, Pop

- Books: Motivational Books like the ones written by Rhenald Kasali and Eri Sudewo. I am currently reading 'Permanent Record' by Edward Snowden and 'Sex Trafficking: Inside the Business of Modern Slavery' by Siddharth Kara.

- Movies: Cartoon animated movies and all genres of Hollywood Movies

- TV Show: America's Got Talent, Anything on Netflix

- YouTube Channel: What Would You Do? by John Quinones

- Documentary (on YouTube as well) : Anything produced by DW TV (Germany), Aljazeera (Qatar), PBS, National Geographic (USA), CNA (Singapore), Four Corner, 60 Minutes, Insight (Australia), CBC Marketplace (Canada), BBC (UK). I binge-watch them almost every day!

PC Geek :
I love testing (and hoarding) new software. When we meet, we can learn things regarding software - if that is your interest.

Amateur Photographer :
I love natural views, architectures, macro and human interest photography. I am still relatively new to photography, suggesting you may teach me how to do it better - if you wish to.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share stories and perhaps souvenirs with my host. In addition, I can also teach English. That said, I can give my host a free English course during my stay. If interpreting/translation is required, I may help my host out - especially English to Indonesian and vice- versa; or I can also translate Javanese to English and vice-versa. To top it all off, I do not mind sharing the bill for groceries and other meal-related purchases if my host and I initiate to do so.
