About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Never live alone, for my whole life.

ABOUT ME

I'm currently a Computer Science undergrad at Dartmouth College. I like hiking, water sports and generally hanging out. I'm a pretty go-with-the-flow kind of person.

I generally think of myself as pretty outgoing, and i love trying new things and seeing new sights.

PHILOSOPHY

Basically, there's only one rule: Be nice to people. If you follow that, you pretty much can't go wrong. There's a lot of magic just behind the corners of the world, all you have to do is look.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm looking to travel, and, once i graduate and get my own place, offer up my own couch.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed with Kevin O'Connor in providence for 2 nights through this site, and i've also had great experiences staying with people I already knew (not through CS).

Interests

I like playing any sort of game, board games, card games, video games, etc. I haven't done it in a while, but i love sailing.
More than anything else, though, i love people. Some of the best times i've had have been just sitting around with friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

I've been on a real Heinlein kick as far as fiction goes lately. I don't much listen to my own music, but I love listening to other people's music, especially folk and quiet techno.

Recent movies i've liked: Iron Man, Indiana Jones, Juno

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've spent three months in Japan, learning Japanese. It was a very interesting cultural experience. The thing that struck me most was how similar the people there were to me, even though all the media about Japan is about how different they are.
