ABOUT ME

I´m a 20 year old guy from northern Germany. After finishing School this year, me and two friends of mine decided to take a backpacking-trip through Europe for a couple of months, in order to get to know different countries and interesting people and enjoy a little bit of freedom. We started at the first of October and we are travelling by hitch-hiking and trying do stay at peoples homes instead of paying for hostels etc. In exchange we often work for the people, we stay at. This is not only cheaper but also a lot of fun! I decided to take this trip and live a bit off the usual path before I start studying. Since I´m not sure what to study yet, I´m also hoping to get some orientation during the trip. We've been to the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Switzerland and Germany so far and it has been great! Since we decided to split up for a while I'm travelling alone right now. I stay at my girlfriend's place in Kutaisi/Georgia for a while and try to explore this beautiful country.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment I am travelling and participate more by taking than by giving. Although I try to give something to my hosts by having a good time with them, of course.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I started using CS during the trip and I think it is a good opportunity to find a place to stay and meet nice people. My experience has been great so far. I have always met interesting and kind people, who I enjoyed a lot.

Interests

Although I'm not really interested in sports, I enjoy doing them. Except for soccer. I played the drums, when I was at home but now as I don't play any longer I just like listening to good drummers but also other kinds of music. I love going to concerts and festivals. I'm also interested in politics, economics and philosophy because they all play a huge role in our lives. And believe it or not, I'm curious about travelling and stories of exciting journeys or other cultures. I like cooking, too!
