Overview
About Me
Ahoj! I'd say I'm an organised hippie - the contradiction here is very accurate. I like my wine as dry as my humour. During the academic year residing in Scotland, escaping wherever anytime possible.
I work online, used to be an editor-in-chief, now working as an occasional journalist (when procrastination from studies is needed).
I am the "people-person" - I love to talk (politics and current affairs are the favourite topics, I also like to brag about things I do, but I'm a good listener at the same time).
I would love to host, but I don't have any available space to host anyone at the moment :( Hopefully soon!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I wanted to be strong and independent, hence solo travel. Very soon have I realised that I just cannot be alone (more than a day alone and I'm dying!), I need people, I love a good chat, get to know the city better, have someone to share a pint with on my travels! I believe I am a good company and I just love meeting new people as I am convinced that good close friends are essential, but getting to know new people with different stories is crucial for one not to get stuck in your own social bubble!

Music, Movies, and Books
My favourite music is currently Claypool Lennon Delirium. The Doors always help the day and recently I fell in love with some pure breed Glaswegian bands like Tom McGuire and the Brassholes or Graham Costello's Strata!
Movie wise: there's a lot. I love the classics (having a bad day - watch Some like it hot), Stanley Kubrick is my guru, Woody Allen can be an option, Wes Anderson is an absolute love, yet my favourite movies are Czech classics (Samotáři), but I'm not gonna lie, I have an obsessive binge-watching disorder. I've binge-watched all the episodes of Friends in one week. And I love stupid reality shows - Yummy Mummies most recently (ok, now you know the darkest secret). Oh and when having a bad day I watch The Great British Bake-Off.
I have read lots of books by Milan Kundera, ultimate favourite. However, most of the time I read newspaper and books about psychology.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've spent over 170 hours in a bus just to be able to cast my vote in Czech elections
What I Can Share with Hosts
Apart from sharing a good laugh about things I manage to fail at any given point, I can share some cooking tips, some useful hacks for managing work, studying abroad and I believe I'm a good drinking buddy. Good listener, even better talker. And I’m more than happy to give an intro lecture to Czechs politics and Czech humour.
