More personal : Sepientia ipsa libertas (wisdom itself is liberty)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like to think I have the right frame of mind for CS, even if I have yet to surf or host. Because of my living/work situation I can not host anyone, but always up to meet new people

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Done a lot of CS meetup type things when I was in Houston.

Interests

Fencing, paintball, motorcycles, reading, chess, games of most types, travel when I can (who would be on CS that did not like travel?)

Music, Movies, and Books

I read a little bit of everything, from history to sci-fi and fantasy. Pretty open with music also - my favorite is beach/swing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I moved to Iraq (Kurdistan) for a new job, never been to the Middle East before - so I think that could be kinda amazing

First time I opened my motorcycle up on some back road...and realized I was not about to die. Then I did almost die, or at least almost laid my bike out. Yeah, we pay a lot more attention to gravel now.

But why is this an amazing thing? First, I lived, so that is pretty amazing. Second, it taught me to always be aware - and you have to take the good with the bad.

Good - getting a motorcycle and enjoying it. Feeling more free and exciting then any car ride can be

Bad - some roads have gravel. (There is a metaphor in this, I have no real dislike/hatred for gravel in most situations)

Teach, Learn, Share

Want to learn any other language - I only speak English...

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Belize, Canada, Cayman Islands, France, Germany, Iraq, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Spain, United Kingdom, Vatican City State

Countries I’ve Lived In

Iraq, United States
