About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Planning our Trip to Ireland and down the Atlantic Coast to Marokko
ABOUT US
I have changed my profil from my personal one to a family profil. So when I describe anything below I am talking about my partner, my two years old daughter and me. But sometimes it's mix, but oh well you are probalby already skipping this part, so let's get down to business: ;-)
We’re a young family from Dresden/Germany and we’re going on a trip around Europe with our campervan this year. We’d like to stay in Ireland for four months in summer (June to September)
This is really our dream and all we want is to meet people, have nice conversations, do sports, go hiking, surfing, climbing, sailing, running, read tons..I mean tons of books, draw, eat, work as much as we need, not more, relax but not relent to nothingness, just for one moment to feel really independent in our ventures.
PHILOSOPHY
Try to find yourself and stay faithful.
But to be honest, I am not sure. But we'll be happy to talk about your philosophy, maybe it'll open our eyes, who knows.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I try to give people a warming smile... and trust...simply trust
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have used it a few times now and I grew very fond of it, unfortunately living in a big city makes it harder to live the couch surfing spirit, since I want to interact with the people and not simply offer a cheap place to stay in. So I haven't been a host for some time!
Now that we're starting our trip through parts of Europe I am really excited to use couchsurfing more frequently. And I also hope that we can offer our hosts to be our couch in Dresden in return.
Interests
Latly I really got into Sailing which is just such a cliché when you live in Hamburg! Since I moved to Dresden I can't follow that newly recovered passion as much as I would like to. But I started Swing Dancing, which is such a funny way to do sports ;-) I have always been climbing, on and off, on and off. I realized how much it depends on whom I am climbing with how regulary I do it. If it is the right group it is the nicest way to use your body I can imagine. Afterwards, when you have reached a goal for example, climbing a difficult route, you feel like you have truly achieved something, something I am longing for in my everyday life as a student I guess.
Lieselotte, our daughter, enjoys wild games, running, climbing on us and anything around, swimming and laughing. She is very smily and loves to meet new people. Well, but she is quite strong minded, so we (parents) don't win every fight, which is fair enough ;-)
Wilko, my parther, is really into surfing, which is one of our main motivations to come to the Atlantic coast. And if you want to talk about Zombie movies in a socio- philosophical way, he is the one to turn to ;-)
We're both very intrested in Art, the History of Great Britain and english literature, which does not mean we have read everything, just as a precaution ;-) I like to cook very much and I'd be happy to offer those skills to our hosts to be. We just like to speak english, though it needs some improvement. We love to travel and be in our campervan, though we don't own it for too long yet, but it truly makes us feel extremly adventurous.

Music, Movies, and Books
Anthony McCarten "English Harem", Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Arthur Conan Doyle "Sherlock Holmes", Hundertwasser "Schöne Wege", Astrid Lindgren (everything) :-)
We're both trying to read more novels from the victorian age, so we carry a small libary. And there is still a long way to go .
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Spending time with a religious fraternity, seeing (as a non religious person) how they care for each other, listen to each other, believe in each other and often host each other if someone travels and passes by (similar to couchsurfing :-)
Teach, Learn, Share
waaaaaaaa well.....I try to learn a lot of things before you come so I can teach you and convince you of my qualities.
Wilko on the other hand can teach you any creative software, like photoshop or Indesign, which is always helpful I think.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I guess our heads are quite busy with ideas on padagogy, campervans and where and how we could create more space while we have already used every spot ;-)
