ABOUT ME

I was born in Houston, TX but now I am living and studying in New York City. I'm a fashion design student, but I'm also dabbling into science, dance, and art history. I have a wide range of interests and am a very passionate person.

I try to be kind, nice, and friendly, and I love to meet new people, see new places, and learn new things. I'm a quirky fellow, but I like to think that it's in a good way! My dream is to be a fashion designer and create haute couture. My favorite color is orange. etc...etc...

PHILOSOPHY

When I travel, I really try to experience a place beyond the tourist realm (and I think that CS will be a great help to this), although this is usually to varying degrees of success. One of the most important aspects of traveling for me is eating! I am a huge foodie, and I think that the culinary experience is a major part of traveling whether it is a fine restaurant or a roadside stall.

I'm a dreamer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I found out about couchsurfing a while ago, and I think it's a great concept. I'm hoping to perhaps be a surfer during my travels, and when I get my new place in New York, I will be able to host some CSers as well!

I've surfed once, and although I haven't hosted yet...I hope to do so in the very near future!

Interests

I have a very wide range of interests. I try to be open to everything and try to the find the fun / good in everything. My strongest interests would probably have to be fashion, food / cooking, travel, dance / ballet, music, and exploring / learning. I also enjoy a good drink, art, good conversation, movies, cycling, volleyball, wandering around, etc...

Music, Movies, and Books

Like my aforementioned interests, by taste in movies, music, and books is also quite varied. In music, I listen to a range of music including but not limited to classical, pop, dance, opera, jazz, lounge... This includes Kylie Minogue, Gotan Project, Tchaikovsky, Cut Copy, Rachmaninoff, Foster the People, Lady Gaga, Chopin, etc...Really anything that catches my fancy! With movies, I'm into films from independent and foreign films to big blockbusters. And similarly with books, some of my favorites include varied works such as The Devil Wears Prada and Bergdorf Blonds (lol) to Cat and Mouse, Invisible Man, Girl with a Pearl Earring, and I absolutely love everything Kafka.
