I'd been here for a couple of years a few years ago and then totally fell off.

Met a WIDE variety of people ranging from the distinctly fashionable to the intellectually stimulating/stimulated to the absolute barmy and ridiculous.

I can only read a very specific kind of book now- of an introspective nature and with a very strong sense of physical spaces and the emotions they inspire- I like Murakami, Rushdie, Teju Cole.

Lots of films - current favorites are Royal Tenenbaums, Drive, Lost in Translation and very recently Lady Bird.
