About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To trace the sinew attaching my fiber to yours and to our earth

ABOUT ME

As a future healer, I hope to develop the core skills to help my partners in this human journey prevent disease, be whole everyday, and deal with the crises and terminal illnesses that our current health care system re-defines as tragedies. Death and life are beautiful gifts to be cherished and honored. Every one of us can be a healer and will often need to be healed. By becoming a doctor, I will have some of the expertise of science and the evolution of a profession to help me be effective at eliciting the expertise of my patients so that we together can find solutions to the great ills and challenges of our days.

PHILOSOPHY

To take things easy with thoughtful regard to the impacts on other people and my environment

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently hosting in Roanoke, VA. When I travel, I plan to build it around surfing with new. Every surfer I meet I am more enthralled with this powerful, engaged community.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My experiences with CS have been stupendous so far. Three wonderful hosts in very different US cities. I look forward to hosting any wonderful soul that comes through Blacksburg or my future city of Roanoke, VA.

My stops:
Des Moines - A wonderful Stay with Mark Miner
Lake Erie - A beautifully short visit with some students on the great Lake Erie.
Charlotte - Visiting a warm home and good company. A great stop-off on a short journey.

Interests

If you are thinking about it or doing it, I am interested.
Tossing frisbee while rolling dough next to a flaming fire sounds pretty good right now. Maybe some double dutch (jump rope) on a busy street. A hike up a mountainside, along a creek or around an industrial park would all do.

Music, Movies, and Books

Every poem read, word written, or hymn sung speaks volumes about a person, community, and a history. It all depends on HOW I read them.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Felt 2 tons of logs start shacking the trailor behind me, my truck is swaying side to side: DON'T TOUCH THE BREAK! Pull over and 40 25x25 cm blocks are falling in the road. What have I done!
