Mein Name ist Laura, ich bin 21 Jahre alt und studiere zur Zeit International Business and Languages in den Niederlanden. Ich finde couchsurfing ist ne super Gelegenheit Geld zu sparen und neue Leute kennen zu lernen. Ich hab schon oefter couchsurfing selber gemacht und jede menge Spass bis jetzt gehabt. Ich bin eine offene Person, extrovertiert und gesprächig. Ich gehe gerne mit Freunden weg, treibe gerne sport und liebe es zu kochen! :)

CURRENT MISSION

Meeting and getting to know as many different people and cultures as possible as it really impresses me how different people can be in their behavior, their language etc. and it I am more than grateful to have the possibility of traveling around the world and do what makes me happy.

ABOUT ME

Hi everyone!
I am a twenty two year old girl from Germany and study International Business and Languages in the Netherlands at the moment. I love love love to travel and cook especially with other people or 'strangers' who become friends as I am a very social person and being, chatting and having fun with people who have (not necessarily of course) a different background or a story behind them very interests me and is a valuable experience in my view. I try to use my free time as efficient as possible and usually don't have many moments of lying on the couch doing nothing (unless there's ice cream and Netflix obviously) which takes me to my next passion: FOOD. As my dad is a food photographer and I have been raised mostly standing in the kitchen helping my parents and grandma to cook I am in love with basically everything that is related to that topic and I am welcoming the option of cooking with other people very much. Mostly I try to eat healthy (unless it comes to chocolate then I'm kinda out of control haha) with the focus on vegan/vegetarian meals. But if you have secret recipes or dishes from your own culture please feel free to show me or invite me to cook with/for you!
Last, I would say I am an open-minded person, I love to party, going out, having adventures, be with friends and have nice conversations, preferably over a glass of wine :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Well because it is just so much better than sitting alone in a hotel/hostel room and exploring a place by oneself! I have met so many great people on my travel trips and couchsurfing is a great possibility to connect people from different parts of the world and becoming friends

Interests

Sports (except from the typical boring gym time, I love to do kickboxing, zumba and yoga)
Music (plays definitely a big part in my life and everywhere I am or everywhere I go music boosts my mood significantly)
Series/ movies (Netflix and cinema is the best for rainy days haha)
Common stuff as a student basically like partying, have a nice glass of wine, go on adventures, meeting people, etc.

I am a Harry Potter Fan, I wish I would be into reading because I have only listened to the audio books so far but it's just the magical world I grew up with
I like action movies like mission impossible, transformers, san andreas, etc.
Huge fan of having a girl's night, watch girlie movies, doing face masks etc. haha

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Work and Travel through Australia
Living and working in New York
Road trip along American West Coast
Traveling alone to Asia - very peaceful and culinarily spoken very interesting
Volunteering in New York with children and homeless people was a very emotional and outstanding experience

Teach, Learn, Share

I am trying to learn different languages which is harder when you don't have someone to talk to in another language so I'd be more than happy to use another language I speak except from English or German but of course I can share and try to teach you as well :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Looots of fun adventures and spontaeous, crazy trips as well as just a chill night with some yummy ice cream on the couch :)
