About Me

I am a 24 year old English traveler who enjoys meeting new people from all over the world whose cultures and influences are different to my own. I love the idea of waking up in the morning in a completely new setting thanks to the amazing transportation systems we have in place in so many of these wonderful countries on my bucket list!

One thing I can't reiterate enough is my openness to meeting new people and adjusting to new environments. I recently lived with a host family in Sydney for six months so I know what it is like to invite a stranger into your home! Yes it can be scary at first but it can also be the most invigorating experience of your life. If it wasn't for the different groups of people I've met along the way, I wouldn't have such a longing to travel.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Firstly I want to meet like minded people who have an interest in travel and meeting people different to themselves. I quit my job in England 14 months ago and am now having the time of my life visiting all these amazing countries. One of my favourite things about travelling is the people you meet along the way who are continuing to make my journey truly remarkable. Couchsurfing offers backpackers like myself a more unique experience away from the world of hostels, which lets face it, aren't the most comfortable or unique! I love the idea of living with a host and their family, getting to know them and their backgrounds.

Interests

I love singing, playing the guitar, going to the theater, writing on my travel blog, running, dancing (on tables), reading (mainly self help books), eating new foods, meditating, yoga...generally just having a good time! :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all genres of music, especially indie/rock music (if you are musical in any sense, then we may become best friends). I love rom coms/action packed thrillers. One of my favourite movies of all time has to be 'I love you man' or 'Step Brothers'. My fave books have to be Tim Ferris - 'The four hour work week (and body)', 'The Power of Now' and 'The way of a peaceful warrior'.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did the third biggest bungy jump in the world when I was in New Zealand which blew my mind. I have never felt adrenalin like that in my life. For someone who was terrified of heights and the ocean before I embarked on my travels, this is a pretty big accomplishment! Just the thought of being suspended 132 meters over water would have freaked me out before, never mind the actual jumping... But after jumping once, I actually considered doing it all over again.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love sharing travel stories and hopefully inspiring people from all over the world. All in all I generally enjoy having a good time. My enthusiasm for life will certainly shine through when you start speaking to me!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a keen guitar player and singer so I would be keen to have a jam if you're into that! I am also an enthusiastic cook who loves learning about local foods and dishes.
