Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm Couchsurfing because I love traveling but I don't want to do it through a window of a tourist bus or through the diluted experience of staying with other foreigners in a hostel. I used to do this before I discovered couchsurfing and while it was fun, I didn’t feel like I was getting all I could out of the places I was in. I really appreciate couchsurfing for the authentic interactions it bring fosters between like-minded but diverse people.
(I can’t host at the moment because I don’t have a place of my own but can’t wait to do so in the future!!)

^^^ that was what I wrote when I first made my profile. Now I’ve couchsurfed 10 times and I just want to say it changed my life!! I loved people a lot before CS but now I’m just awe-struck by their beauty and feel so lucky to share existence with ppl like you.

Just finished Trick Mirror by Jia Tolentino, before that Leaving Atocha Station by Ben Lerner and Conversations with Friends by Sally Rooney.

I want to learn anything and everything that a person has to share. I think all knowledge is valuable knowledge. I love especially learning about the different ways people approach and connect with their bodies, whether that be through movement, consumption, spiritual practices etc.
