Hi everybody!

My name is Laura, and I'm a 24 year old student from the Netherlands. I'm currently living in Amsterdam for my Master German Studies. Before I moved to Amsterdam, I lived in Groningen for five years. There I finished my Bachelor European Studies. During my Bachelor I also lived in Hamburg for a semester abroad. Next stop after my studies in Amsterdam: Berlin! :-)

(European) Languages and cultures have always been my passion. I love reading about the European and world history, learning new languages, and meeting people from all over the globe. A special interest goes to the eastern neighbour: Germany. Within my bachelor I focused on the German language and history, and that's why I can speak fluent German. I hope to extend my knowledge of different languages and cultures over the following years through interactions with amazing people from all over the world!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As I'm very interested in different countries, cultures and languages, I travel a lot. By staying with locals, I can get a far better experience of what a country is like, and learn new things about the city, the language and the people. A hotel or hostel will never be able to give such a great experience! :-)
