I'm an almost 30 yr-old animal lover living in a 3 bedroom house just north of Minneapolis with my sister, and still figuring out my life. My life for the last nearly 10 years has been all about politics, first environmental and food issues in California, Minnesota, and Maine, then progressive local electoral politics here in my home State of Minnesota. Now I'm taking a break from professional politics to find more balance in my life.

I'm a spontaneous, adventure lover who often decides to getaway on a moments notice. I love to travel affordably, meet new people, and do what the locals do in places I visit. Couchsurfing gives me all three.

Music: Depends on my mood, but you can always find some classic crooner jazz, Latin jams, top 40, and Motown in my playlists. My favorite artists include Tony Bennett, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Billie Holiday, Audra Day, Alicia Keys, Lady Gaga, Elton John, Springsteen, Mika, and Burna Boy.

Movies: My number 1 is Casablanca. That and Hitch are definitely my most rewatched. I love psychological thrillers, comedy, rom-coms, all things Disney + all other animation featuring talking animals, and musicals.

Books: Top book genre is mystery/ true crime. I also love historical fiction, politics, memoirs, comedy, and really just anything feel-good. My favorite classic is Great Gatsy (shout-out to famous Minnesotan F. Scott Fitzgerald.
