About Me

I am a former international flight attendant who now works part time in insurance and also at a small winery in Texas. I have always had a love of travel and adventure. Meeting and making friends around the world is what I love the most. I love the outdoors, wine and visiting cultural/historic sites. My favorite books to read usually involve history and I love mystery novels. I generally have one or two books I'm reading at any given time .

I was also a medic for 9 years in the Texas National Guard and did extensive travelling around the USA with them. I have been to many countries in the northern hemisphere and am now wanting to travel for fun to different countries especially Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and other smaller places.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have been an unofficial couch surfer for the past 20 years, travelling and staying with friends around the world. I love staying local and visiting places not always frequented by tourists. Meeting local people and exploring their favorite places are why I travel.

I also have had friends from around the world come and stay with me. I look forward to exploring and making new friends on this website.
