About Me

I am crazy, sometimes shine and other times bold. I love nature, culture, and adventures (everything that is new or that I haven't done before), but the thing I like most is traveling. I don't know what happens to me while I'm traveling, but I fell free and always euphoric. When I'm talking about certain topics, like politics and feminism, I tend to put too much passion in it and using my hand (definitely a cultural deformation). I'm flexible and I'm usually able to adapt to any kind of situation, although I'm more for nature or cultural trips than for partying all the night. There is only one thing that I can't stand: defined roles. Daydreaming is one of my favorite hobbies together with doing sport. I love traveling alone because there are more chances of knowing new people and I think it is a self-awareness exercise. Oh... I forgot to say that obviously, I love food and cooking. 😉

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love travelling and meeting new people! There is no change, no crisis without the others and stay still means die.

Interests

Nature, different cultures and traditions, sports, reading and food. I love literature, art, history, geography, politics and social sciences. I'm not super interested in "hard sciences", the only exceptions are natural science and everything that concerns the human body.

Music, Movies, and Books

The movies I like most are Forrest Gump, The Green Mile, Dead Poeat Society, Gran Torino, One flew over the cuckoo's nest, Million Dollar Baby, Out of Africa, The Pianist, Life is Beautiful, Labyrinth of Lies, Tickling Giants.

My favorite books are The The Neverending Story by Michael Ende, Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse, The Baron in the Trees by Italo Calvino, Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury, Brave New World by Aldous Huxley, Le Petit Prince d'Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, Pride and Prejudice byJane Austen, King Solomon's Ring by Konrad Lorenz, Sulla strada giusta (On the right way) by Francesco Grandis, Il Giornalino di Gian Burrasca by Vamba (because sometimes I'm the female version of a little Gian Burrasca), White Fang by Jack London.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Playing with the children in Tanzania, visiting the Great Mosque of Córdoba, being surrounded by a herd of 200 elephants in South Africa and hiking in Finland.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I really like cooking so I would enjoy preparing Italian dishes for my host, but I would also be happy to help you preparing your traditional meal. I can teach you some Italian word and try to learn your language because I really believe that "Parler une langue, c'est assumer une culture, un monde" using Frantz Fanon's words. We could also talk about our travels and dreams, because dreams are a serious matter, so often understimated.

Countries I’ve Visited

Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Denmark, England, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, India, Kosovo, Luxembourg, Montenegro, Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Tanzania, United States
