About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Learn, experience and give something back. And if possible make people realise that we are all more alike than we are different.
ABOUT ME
I find it really hard to define a whole person in a few lines. I think we're such a mix of opposites, between what we try to be, what we have been/done and what others think of us that trying to condense all of that into a description is basically impossible. But I guess the main characteristic I'd like to put forward about myself is that I'm really curious about things. I love to try new food and experiences, learn languages or maths or anything at all really, understand how stuff works and why people think in certain ways. I'm passionate and (mostly) very happy. The rest I'm still trying to figure out.
PHILOSOPHY
I'm against nationalism - or communalism, really, any kind of group mentality which encourages a "Us versus Them" way of thinking. I think that's what most defines the way I see and understand the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I offer a couch and try and find hosts when I travel?
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I haven't yet had the opportunity to couchsurf - except maybe at friends of friends' or distant relatives' houses. If a car seat counts as a couch, though, I love hitch-hiking and have had awesome experiences! Met all kinds of amazing people, rode with two others (and a massive backpack) on a tiny motorcycle racing on a dirt road in the middle of nowhere, in a shiny Mercedes, in broken-down ghosts of cars, in a HUGE lorry, at the back of a pick-up truck...
***
Update : hosted 3 amazing people in my house in São Paulo and surfed all through my trip in Latin America, awesome experiences :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Too hard... Currently reading the complete Sherlock Holmes collection, "Capital in the Twenty-First Century" by T. Piketty and Fifty Shades of Grey (when I get bored of one for a while I move on to the next). I've just watched (and liked) "Mary and Max" and "The Grand Budapest Hotel". And on my Spotify right now the song "Cough Syrup" by Young the Giant is playing. Also TV series like Borgen, Grey's Anatomy, Scrubs, Downton Abbey...
Update: that was 5 years ago, but still pretty much reflects my interests
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Not sure. I went parachuting this year and it was fun!! I have many incredible memories. But the coolest moments weren't always that spectacular, mostly about people and places and laughing and being amazed by tiny things.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: languages? For the rest it depends what level is needed, I could do beginner courses in a lot of things but not much for advanced students.
Learn: anything you're willing to teach me - but especially dancing and cooking
Share: stories, life experience, advice, visions of the world and politics...
What I Can Share with Hosts
Depends what you need, but obviously basic help with cooking, cleaning up, dishes, etc. You are offered a place to stay whenever you are where I am, and hopefully conversations and a different view of the world
