About Me

Hey!

My name is Laura, 26 years old and from Germany.

I'm not an experienced couchsurfer (yet) but I've spend the last 7 years travelling (basically every day it was possible). So I'm used to live together with many people on small space. I don't need much time in the bathroom and I'm always trying to respect other's needs and wishes and of course to keep the noise down when I get home ;).

I'm outgoing, always looking forward to meet new people from different countries and to learn more about their outlooks, traditions and their culture. Besides all the beautiful places our planet has to offer this might be the reason why I love traveling so much.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet nice people who can introduce me to their hometown and tell me more about the country they live in!

Interests

I'm interested in seeing as much of the world as possible while picking up as much information as I can get. Also I'm a certified diver, so whenever it is possible and I can afford it you'll find me under water. I love beaches but there's actually nothing better than snowy mountains and hitting the slopes in winter ;). I like being quiet while reading a good book or sitting in crowded places watching people passing by. I enjoy cooking and having friends over for dinner - good food just brings people together! Also I am always up for a good night out - having some drinks and dancing until the sun comes up. I'm interested in meeting honest people who care about what's happening in the world and are openminded.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Maybe the most challenging thing I've done so far was living in a tiny fishing village on the beautiful island Koh Rong in Cambodia for a month to teach people English. No electricity, no running water, no Western comforts at all and maybe 3 people who could understand me. Had the time of my life!

Teach, Learn, Share

To be honest, I cannot think of something special that I could teach anyone. But I like to think that in every moment/place/conversation there is something you didnt know before. You just need to keep your eyes and your mind open!

Also, I'd like to share good stories, learn languages, exchange recipes or books and make new memories.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cambodia, Colombia, Czech Republic, Ecuador, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Laos, Latvia, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Mexico, Myanmar, Netherlands, Philippines, Portugal, South Korea, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey, United States, Viet Nam
