Overview
About Me
I've lived in multiple cities around Australia and the world, but I have stopped for now in Perth to study Veterinary Medicine. I'm currently a veterinary nurse. I spend my free time with animals, hiking or at the beach.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Travelling is lonely if you're going from empty hotel room to empty hotel room. I prefer meeting new people and sharing the experience together.
Interests
I love the mountains, climbing, skiing, surfing, hiking, learning to snowboard - anything that involves being outdoors and moving. I also love animals, and spend a lot of my free time rehabilitating Australian wildlife.
Music, Movies, and Books
I could easily spend my life in the sun with a book. A few Australian favourites of mine are The Songlines by Bruce Chatwin, A Fraction of the Whole by Steve Toltz and anything by Tim Winton. I'll happily exchange books and recommendations along the way.
In terms of music, I'll listen to all sorts, but I primarily listen to rock and alternative styles of music (The Black Keys, The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Tame Impala). Bob Dylan always brings me home.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I spent weeks hitchhiking from beach to beach and camping in Baja California, Mexico. I've hiked to 5000m in the Andes and watched the sun rise and set over the mountains without another soul in sight. These are two of my favourite memories.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to learn and share, no matter what it is - gardening tips, your favourite book, or a tour of your city. However, I can also respect that you may be busy, and can find my own way if that's the case.
If you ever make it to Australia, I am based on the west coast and would happily take you diving, surfing and exploring the coast. I can also offer up any skills I have to share, including cooking and beginner Spanish.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am always, always happy to help in whatever way I can. If you let me, I'll show up on the first day with bags of groceries ready for that night's dinner. I will also help with cleaning, gardening or anything else you might need.
